(UPDATED) Good morning. The NHL just announced that Phoenix's Ed Jovanovski has been suspended two games for his forearm to the face of the Wild's Andrew Ebbett. Ebbett had trouble getting up after the hit, was bleeding and couldn't practice yesterday.

The Wild just announced that Ebbett is sidelined with a concussion and Nathan Smith has been recalled, meaning James Sheppard remains a winger. Ebbett is the fourth Wild player out with a concussion right now, and as you know, this is a huge blow for this team. Ebbett scored three goals and a shootout goal in seven games since being claimed off waivers.

I will update my Twitter, www.twitter.com/russostrib, from the morning skate with updates around 12:30 p.m. CST.

Two years ago, Jovanovski was suspended one game for elbowing Marian Gaborik in a game.

Remember, I'll be doing a live chat on startribune.com at 3 p.m. CT today and Russo Radio will be on KSTP at 6 p.m.

Here's the press release:
