You can download applications for everything from paint chips to countertop choices. Now, for $2.99, you can download Pet Acoustics' Pet Jingles Holiday App for iPhones and iTouches.
Why would you want to?
The retailer notes it has designed its tracks' frequency, volume and rhythm for the sensitive hearing of dogs, cats and horses, saying it is "specifically designed to calm and soothe your pet throughout the holiday season."
(Where's the app for soothing the shopper who has just spent 20 minutes in Grocery Store Parking Lot Hell? That would be a great seller.)
The holiday app is a brand extension; Pet Acoustics has already introduced an application for calming pets at any old time of the year. The company says 20 percent of sales plus an additional donation will benefit the American Humane Association. You can check it out at www.petacoustics.com.
