They've attended forums ad nauseum but Tuesday night's Hopkins appearance by the DFL candidates for governor is promising to be different than what has come before.
"This really is the only true debate," said Eric Margolis, one of the DFL organizers of the event.
Candidates Tom Bakk, Mark Dayton, Matt Entenza, Susan Gaertner, Steve Kelley, Margaret Anderson Kelliher, John Marty, Tom Rukavina, R.T. Rybak, Ole Savior and Paul Thissen have are all slated to be there, organizers said.
Margolis said the format of the debate, moderated by KSTP's Tom Hauser, will encourage candidates to draw distinctions and convince attendees, "why they will be the best candidate."
More than 600 people are expected to attend.
For more information go here. Margolis said there are only about 40 of 500 tickets for the public left. Candidates were also given tickets to distribute.
