As you read this blog entry, angel investors and start-ups are flocking to Madison, Wisconsin for the annual Wisconsin Early Stage Symposium and the Mid West Health Care Venture forum.

Minnesota should care about this for two reasons: 1. Aside from the Collaborative's Venture Capital conference, we don't host anything comparable and 2. quite a few Minnesota start-ups will be looking for money at these events. And as we already well know, Wisconsin money will tempt these companies to move across the border.

Here's a list of Minnesota companies presenting in Wisconsin this week:

  1. DgiMed Ortho- Minnetonka
  2. Kappametrics Inc.- Minneapolis
  3. NeoChord Inc.- Minnetonka
  4. Drazil Foods Inc.- Edina
  5. Marvel Concepts- Duluth
  6. OrthoCor Medical- Minneapolis
  7. Pursuit Vascular Inc.- Blaine
  8. RAI Stone Group LLC- Golden Valley
  9. Teknion Heart Inc.- St. Paul
  10. Vatrix Medical Inc.- Eden Prairie
  11. White Bear Technologies- New Brighton
