We're heading out to a high school football game pretty soon (Holy Family vs. Minneapolis North, section final), but we thought we'd throw out a couple of talkers:

1) Obviously, feel free to react to the trade of Carlos Gomez for J.J. Hardy. Our quick take is that as much as we loved Go-Go's energy, he was the odd man out of a crowded outfield. If Hardy can come anywhere near his 2007 and 2008 form, this is a steal for the Twins and a great move by Bill Smith. And yes, those words can be typed consecutively on a keyboard! The "g" key gave us some resistance, but we fought through it.

2) Wisconsin is the new farm team for Minnesota clubs. Ryan Longwell. Brett Favre. Ramon Sessions. J.J. Hardy. Discuss -- and thanks, Wisconsin!

What a game! Nothing like sweeping the Packers with Brett.
