Timberwolves radio ad taking a pot shot ... but at what?

On our way in this morning, we heard an ad on KFAN for the upcoming Timberwolves season. While we can't remember it verbatim, the gist of a part of it was this: a lot of people talk about change ... and people toss it around with the sort of nonchalance used by some GMs when it comes to draft picks.
Whoa, we thought immediately: Was that a shot at Kevin McHale?
The spot went on to highlight all the changes the Wolves have made: remade roster, new GM, new head coach, etc. Those are clearly attributes that a struggling franchise would want to highlight -- and less of a direct hit on the previous regime but still a celebration of the concept of new blood.
We bounced it off a couple other folks in the office, and some thought the GM line was more a shot at the Wild, which has certainly traded away draft picks in recent years to stay slightly above average and now finds itself in a talent drought. That makes some sense because the Wild is the Timberwolves' direct winter ticket competitor, and the local NHL club didn't exactly storm out of the gate this year. Still, we tend to think that's a reach and the real target was the old era of the Wolves and, specifically, McHale.
If so, we're not saying there's anything wrong with that. But we're also not saying we weren't a little taken aback.
How many negatives was that?
