DiggWeb surfers visiting Google's home page may notice that a barcode has replaced the familiar Google logo. The company is paying tribute to the 57th anniverary of the bar code patent.
That may not exactly be hot water cooler chatter but think about this one: without the bar code, how long would we have to wait in the supermarket checkout line?
