Weekend sales

To call Architectural Antiques a salvage store might give the impression the prices are low. They're not, but they get a lot lower today when everything online and in the Minneapolis store is marked down 50 percent. For high quality and selection, AA is hard to beat. And today they're price competitive too.

The selection of household accessories at the PPL Shop isn't as high quality as when they were getting returns from the Signals and Wireless catalog owned by MPR and later Target. But I'd still challenge anyone to find cheaper prices on anything they sell at a competitor. And the prices through Saturday just got better on selected items such as women's clothes.

MartinPatrick3, the best men's accessories store in the Twin Cities in my opinion, takes 20 percent off everything through Aug. 23. It's for any guy with a flair for style, whether he reads Maxim or the Advocate.
