Probable No. 1 overall pick Markelle Fultz and Top 5 pick De'Aaron Fox are scheduled to attend next week's Chicago draft combine, but none of the most likely candidates for the June draft's sixth, seventh and eighth spots say they'll attend.

The NBA announced Friday afternoon that 67 players have committed to the combine. If they indeed show, Fultz and Fox will buck the recent trend in which the draft's very top players decline the Chicago invitation.

Fultz is a Washington freshman point guard, Fox is a Kentucky freshman point guard.

Other projected top picks such as UCLA's Lonzo Ball, Kansas' Josh Jackson and Duke's Jayson Tatum.

But if the Wolves don't move up in the May 16 draft lottery -- and they've never done better than they should have in their history -- they'll most likely pick sixth or seventh.

Three players they'll consider if they're still available -- Arizona shooter Lauri Markkanen, Kentucky combo guard Malik Monk and Florida State's Jonathan Isaac -- all declined their combine invitations.

Most of the top picks who accept are only measured and interviewed by teams and don't participate fully.

ESPN2 will provide coverage on Thursday and Friday afternoons, starting Thursday at 2 p.m. Central time.

The Wolves will travel there with coach/president of basketball operations Tom Thibodeau, GM Scott Layden and much of their front office/scouting staffs for player interviews, physical exams, measuring and workouts much of the week.
