A body found Aug. 7 next to a burning dumpster in south Minneapolis is believed to be that of a Latino or Hispanic man, but his identity remains unknown and police are asking for the public's help to learn his name.

The man stood 5 feet, two inches tall, weighed 152 pounds and had black hair. He had a distinctive tattoo of a cross covering his upper right arm. The police department issued this picture of a similar cross.

Anyone who could help the police department identify the man should call Minneapolis police Sgt. Charles Green at 612-673-3217.
