Good morning, commuters!

We were hoping that southbound Hwy. 169 from Bren Road to Valley View Road would be open this morning, but the road is not quite ready for traffic.

On Sunday, Hwy. 36 did reopen between Hwy. 61 and Rice Street. A number of ramps leading to Hwy. 36 that had been closed are back open, but those to and from I-35E remain closed.

Today, commuters who use County Road B at 35E will need to find an alternate route. The road is closed through late Monday.

High water still has Hwys. 41 and 101 over the Minnesota River closed. We can expect heavy traffic on I-35W and Hwy. 169 again. The pattern has been that things get busy around 6:30 a.m., so until then, no problems.

The Stillwater Lift Bridge also remains closed.

Transit riders who use the 28th Avenue Station in Bloomington take note that the Park & Ride lot north of the METRO Blue Line's 28th Avenue Station will be closed to allow for construction. The parking ramp and parking area immediately next to the station will remain open.

Here is the note from Metro Transit: Construction on 30th Avenue will also close the entrance to the Park & Ride ramp. Please access the ramp from East 82nd Street. Bus operations will not be impacted by road construction.

I'll be keeping an eye on the roads and rails this morning, reporting any delays or issues — and I will need your help.

If you see or hear about any congestion, delays or problems, e-mail drive@startribune or tweet @stribdrive.
