Strong Storms Moving Through Metro Area

Posted by: Paul Douglas Updated: May 19, 2014 - 10:39 AM

Wettest Day of the Week. NWS Doppler at 10:38 AM shows a line of heavy to strong storms pushing across the metro area: very heavy rain and small hail likely with a few of these cells. 1" diameter hail is estimated north of Hutchinson - I wouldn't be surprised to see a few severe storm warnings into midday. Rainfall amounts will exceed half an inch in some communities.
