Today's rush hour was uneventful and a repeat performance for Thursday would be welcome.

No serious delays developed this morning, but commuters on northbound 35W did spend a little extra time in their vehicles due to heavy traffic between County Road 42 and the Bloomington Strip. At the worst, the travel time to downtown Minneapolis was close to 35 minutes. But that could always be worse.

The usual slow downs develped on northbound 169 from Hwy. 101 up to 494 and on westbound 94 between White Bear Avenue and downtown St. Paul. Neither location experienced any sizeable delays, just a squeeze that kept the speeds down.

It's been a good run for drivers on 35W and 35E in the north metro this week with no problems to speak of while commuters who use 494 and 694 in the eastern suburbs cruised along without incident.

At present, a stall is blocking the left lane of eastbound 94 at Victoria Street in St. Paul. Travel times between the downtowns on 94 in both directions is between 9 and 11 minutes.

That's it for today. I'll be back tomorrow with more live traffic reports.
