Call it another sign of our winter of discontent.

A Rochester woman got injured in a kerfuffle about snow removal after last week's storm, police said.

The woman, 53, saw snow from her neighbor's snowblower was landing in her yard, police said. She yelled for him to stop and when he didn't, she ran up and tried to turn the chute of the snowblower's auger.

What happened next is in dispute, but the woman's leg got cut. "She momentarily got jammed up in the blower," said police Capt. John Sherwin.

He said he'd never seen an injury over a snowblower dispute.

"You can tell it's been a long winter when incidents like this start to happen," he said.
