The Worthington Daily Globe has a startling photo of a small airplane flipped upside down in the snow after landing at the local airport Monday evening.
The newspaper reports that the pilot and passenger escaped serious injury. An airport official said the plane got into some deep snow after landing and flipped, much like vehicles sometimes overturn into a ditch.
The FAA went to the scene Tuesday to inspect the site, the report said. The damage to the airplane hadn't been assessed, and airport officials were waiting for a day when winds are low enough for the tricky job of flipping the airplane back onto its wheels.
