Last season, when the Indiana Dream did in the Lynx in the WNBA Finals, much of the discussion focused on the Fever's physical play, and Minnesota's inability to respond.

This year, the Lynx are the physical team, and Angel McCoughtry is feeling it.

McCoughtry, a 2012 Olympian who led the WNBA in scoring during the regular season with 21.5 points per game, has missed 31 of her 42 shots in the first two games of the series and has scored only 32 points total. The 6-foot-1 forward, who fouled out of Tuesday's Game 2, has also been exposed on defense by Seimone Augustus and Maya Moore.

Afterward, McCoughtry complained to Michelle Smith of espnW.com. She was especially unhappy with Moore, who pulled her down when she was going to the basket for a lay-up and was called for a clear path foul.

McCoughtry told Smith: "The whole pulling me down on the fast break, all that crap, it's not needed. I really hurt my elbow when Maya pulled me down on that play. I feel like it wasn't needed. We don't play that way. We are going to play hard and we are going to play scrappy, but we aren't going to pull you down and hurt you. I just felt like I deserve a little more respect than that."

Fred Williams, the Atlanta coach, said: "I would think (McCoughtry) would be a little frustrated because of some of the things she doesn't get to do in penetrating to the basket. … We have another game and we have to regroup, and she knows that. She's a little frustrated, yes. But she's not to the point where she is going to let it all go or get loose. She is going to stay under control and do the right things."

Moore refused to engage, although she responded to a question about whether McCoughtry was frustrated during the game by saying, "We hope so."

But Seimone Augustus threw a verbal elbow when she was asked about McCoughtry's complaints. "Then don't play in the WNBA Finals," she said.

The Lynx learned that lesson last season.
