The Music in the Zoo series is finally going for the youth vote, by booking “Call Me Maybe” hitmaker Carly Rae Jepsen for Aug. 18.

Other newly announced concerts at the Minnesota Zoo are Chris Isaak July 22 and John Butler Trio Aug. 4. Tickets to all three concerts go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Electric Fetus and Ticketmaster outlets.

In other concert news, the Killers will return to Roy Wilkins Auditorium on Aug. 1. Tickets will go on sale Friday.

"Glee" star Darren Criss will headline the Varsity on June. 10.

The Walllflowers and Counting Crows will team up on July 9 at the Myth. That’s the day before Bob Dylan, the father of Wallflowers frontman Jakob Dylan, performs at St. Paul’s Midway Stadium. But the Wallflowers are due in Winnipeg on July 10.

Fitz and the Tantrums have added a second concert, June 16 at the Varsity. Their June 17 gig is sold out.
