1. MORNEAU UPDATE: it appears that Justin Morneau was removed from the game as a precaution. Morneau reported mild stiffness in his lower back during pre-game work. ``He was swinging (at Hammond Stadium) and said he was fine in the cage then came out there (to jetBlue Park) and started feeling stiff," Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said. ``I said, `This is not the weather you want to screw with with two days left in spring training. I'm not playing you.' ``He's been healthy all spring." We'll check on Morneau tomorrow and see how he's feeling.

2. HENDRIKS UPDATE: Liam Hendricks' bullpen session today went well. He will pitch in a minor league game in Fort Myers on Sunday and is expected to join the Twins after that.

3. JOHAN: Twins coaches and staff fell terrible for former Twin Johan Santana, who has another tear in his shoulder capsule and might miss the rest of the season. Shoulder injuries are tougher to come back from than elbow injuries. To have two in the same area can be career-threatening.

BONUS: A-Rod is making $29 million this year. The Astros payroll is around $25 million.
