Becky Rogness, press secretary for U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann, announced Wednesday that she is leaving "with great sadness" after more than three years working with the three-term Minnesota Republican. In a note to reporters, Rogness described her stay as "3 ½ incredible years," which made her one of the veterans on a staff noted for frequent turnover, an ongoing story for which she was sometimes called on for comment. She will be replaced by Dan Kotman, formerly a spokesman for American Solutions, a political organization founded by former House Speaker and GOP presidential candidate Newt Gingrich. Rogness said she is moving back to the Midwest while her husband pursues seminary studies.
