Marginally Severe. NWS Doppler at 7:12 pm shows strong to severe storms approaching the metro, warnings in effect from St. Cloud to Cambridge and Mora, far north metro. A few of these storms will produce 1" diameter hail, frequent lightning and downpours - the risk of tornadoes is very small. A Severe Storm Watch remains in effect until 10 pm, including the MSP metro area. You might want to have a Plan B (indoors) for the next few hours. Although the best chance of hail/high winds may pass just north of the Twin Cities, we'll see downpours, 1/2 to 1.5" diameter hail, and frequent lightning strikes in the metro between 7:30 and 10:30 pm.
