U.S. Rep. Erik Paulsen and U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar, co-chairs of the Congressional Medical Technology Caucus, are scheduled to host a roundtable discussion regarding issues affecting the medical device industry on Wednesday. The discussion, organized with the trade association Life Science Alley, will include legislation to modernize the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and ongoing negotiations over user fees charged to medical device manufacturers. The roundtable was scheduled to start at 10:40 a.m. at American Medical Systems in Minnetonka.
