Cravaack calls for ouster of U.S. Attorney General

U.S. Rep. Chip Cravaack, a freshman Minnesota Republican facing a tough reelection fight, sent out a fundraising  appeal  Wednesday calling for the ouster of U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder, who he calls a “radical anti-gun extremist.”

The appeal is built around a 1995 talk Holder gave in D.C., where he called on entertainers, athletes, community leaders and school board members to mobilize against youth gun violence, saying they should  “just really brainwash people into thinking about guns in a vastly different way.”

Cravaack’s take is that it was an invitation to government brainwashing: “There’s just something fundamentally wrong when the nation’s top law enforcement officer believes it’s OK to ‘brainwash’ people into thinking like he does.”

The Holder video has been making the rounds in Second Amendment circles lately. It was taken from a C-SPAN presentation when Holder was the U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, before he was named President Obama's Attorney General.
