In a growing number of U.S. cities, including the Twin Cities, it's becoming cheaper to own than to rent a house, according to a quarterly survey by Marcus and Millichap for the Wall Street Journal. That's because rent prices are rising, home prices are falling and record-low mortgage interest rates mean cheaper mortgage payments.
