Mark Vancleave is a photojournalist and video producer covering investigative projects, craft cocktails and everything in-between.


Vancleave joined the Star Tribune in 2013 and graduated from the University of Minnesota, where he now teaches photojournalism. His award-winning work includes investigations into abuses in Minnesota's elder care system, working conditions for people with disabilities, access to medical marijuana and immigrant experiences. Despite being a life-long Minneapolitan, Vancleave enjoys exploring Minnesota's rural gems and escaping to our state's natural wonders.
