Kristin Tillotson finds writing inspiration in the pursed lips, bloviating and passive-aggression of others. Also flowers and kittens. In her 16 years at the Star Tribune she has covered the culture front from fashion, film, books, nightlife and the arts to the lives of Somali immigrants. She has a soft spot for dogs, but not books about them.
