Pam Louwagie has been a reporter at the Star Tribune since 2001. Her investigations include an examination of sentencing disparities for sex abusers of children. She has written about mortgage fraud, clergy abuse, the aftermath of the Interstate 35W bridge collapse and other disasters, including Hurricane Katrina. In 2005 she was part of a reporting team that produced a series on gang rape and prostitution that received many awards, including the Frank Premack Public Affairs Journalism Award and a “Let’s Do It Better” award from the Columbia School of Journalism. Before coming to the Star Tribune, Louwagie worked at The Times-Picayune in New Orleans and the Philadelphia Inquirer. She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Minnesota.
