Jane Friedmann

Jane Friedmann has been a reporter on the Whistleblower beat since 2009. She also provides data analysis for the Minneapolis team. Friedmann joined the Star Tribune in 1981 and worked as a news graphics artist before becoming a reporter. She was awarded a regional Emmy for her work on the I-35W bridge collapse. Friedmann holds bachelor degrees from the University of Minnesota in journalism and mathematics.

Kahl's license was revoked in February 2002 for driving with a blood-alcohol content of 0.11 percent, but he was not convicted of drunken driving. He pleaded guilty to drunken driving in June 2002 and September 2003.
