Alexander: How to find free antivirus software

Q Where can I get a safe, quality and free antivirus and anti-spyware program? I have three PCs, and I'm tired of spending $40 per computer per year for security software. One PC runs Windows Vista and the others run Windows 7, and all are currently protected, although I'm not sure what programs they all use.

Alexander: There are risks in using 'cloud' to move PC data

QI read your reply in last week's column, in which you suggested transferring some complex Excel spreadsheets from an old computer to a new one using a USB cable. Don't you think that using a free online storage service such as Dropbox would be easier and less expensive? For example, I use Dropbox to back up my Quicken financial files. That also gives me access to the files from any of my computers.

Q I'm looking to set up an live Internet streaming video and audio show. To produce it, I need to have several video-audio streams from remote locations running on my PC at the same time. What kind of a laptop should I purchase? What else do I need to think about?
