Tickets for Eagan Foundation fundraiser on sale

Tickets are on sale now for the 12th annual “A Taste of the Eagan Foundation” wine tasting and silent auction on April 18. The night will also include food and craft beer offerings in addition to wine.

This is the Eagan Foundation’s major fundraising event of the year, and all proceeds will support the foundation’s community projects.

Tickets are $45 in advance and $55 after April 11. To purchase them, go to www.eaganfoundation.org and click on “News and Events.”

The event will be held from 6:30 to 9 p.m. on April 18 at the Eagan Community Center, 1501 Central Pkwy.

Singers to compete for scholarships

As part of Inver Hills Community College’s Fine Arts Festival, singers from the community are invited to participate in a vocal competition, with scholarships awarded as prizes.

There will be two categories — a high school category (for those 18 and younger), and an adult category. Applications are due on March 31,and can be submitted online. Auditions will be held April 18 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

The winners and runner-up in each category will be awarded a scholarship to be used toward fine arts coursework. They will perform their selections at a public concert at 7:30 p.m. on April 19 in the Fine Arts Theater, 2500 E. 80th St.
