John Akre coordinated a Stop Motion Animation Station in the Northrup Building of Minneapolis, inviting the public to participate in an animation project as part of the weekend’s Art-A-Whirl event. More than 50 people worked for 10 hours to produce an estimated 1,200 frames resulting in a two-minute video about northeast Minneapolis. Frome left, Molly McKenzie, 12, Will McKenzie, 12, and Sam McKenzie, 12 — all from Blaine — lined up for a frame to be included in the video. For more photos from Art-A-Whirl, go to startribune.com
