Friday the 13th got off on a somber start as a pedestrian running across I-94 in downtown Minneapolis was struck and killed. That happened just after 3 a.m. and two left lanes of westbound 94 were closed until about 6:30 a.m.
The rest of the rush was much tamer, thankfully. Congestion didn't really develop anywhere and the crashes we did have didn't impact the flow.
The late rush hour served up this interesting scene. A broken down armored car being towed away from eastbound 394 at Wirth Pkwy. The action was in the HOT lanes and didn't impact general traffic.
