CHICAGO - Former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin suggests she recognized quickly that she'd done badly in her interview with CBS anchorwoman Katie Couric.
In a written excerpt of an interview scheduled to air Monday on "The Oprah Winfrey Show," Palin says that even as campaign advisers told her she'd done well, she knew better.
That interview with Palin — then Sen. John McCain's running mate — was seen as a major event in the campaign. Critics seized on it as evidence that she wasn't qualified to be president if something were to happen to McCain.
Palin also talks to Winfrey about Levi Johnston, the father of her grandson. She says Johnston remains an important member of the family and the troubles between him and the rest of the family can be worked out.

I am not a Palin fan, but if her campaign advisers told her she did
well after that interview, then it seems to me the advisers were more out of touch with reality than Palin herself. Also, short, personal, … read more insulting, etc. posts have nothing to do with being liberal. You can see plenty of those types of posts from conservatives too.
