Delays have already started on Hwy. 169 through Edina and Hopkins because a bridge repair project is underway. The highway is reduced to a single lane in both directions between the Crosstown and Hwy. 7. MnDOT will begin fixing three bridges:

  • Bridge over Nine Mile Creek (Edina)
  • Bridge over Excelsior Blvd, Third Street and the Canadian Pacific Railroad (Hopkins)
  • Bridge over Second Street (Hopkins)

Lane restrictions will be in effect until July 15. To avoid the backups, try out Hwy. 100 or 494.

In Woodbury, the work in progress is on the eastbound side at County Road 19, but a few motorists heading west are slowing to take a peek. Traffic is moving at a decent clip now, but things are filling in and heavy from Manning Avenue to Keats Avenue.
