How to report prep scores

Last update: August 29, 2006 - 8:53 AM

All high school results should be reported to the Star Tribune as soon as possible after the completion of a game. To report results, either call 612-673-4447 or fax a game summary, with rosters if possible, to 612-673-7774 (if faxing, please call to confirm that your report was received).

In most situations, it works best if the home team reports game results. One exception: if a metropolitan area team is on the road playing in greater Minesota, a team representative of the metro team should call us to make sure the result is reported. Teams outside our coverage area usually don't report results directly to us. Our toll-free number is helpful in this situation: 1-800-829-8742, ext. 4447.

If your team updates it website on MaxPreps, we still need you to report results by phone or fax to get them sooner. MaxPreps is offered as a way for you to publicize players, stats and standings. But real-time game results posted there are not published in the newspaper.

If you are a coach and team representative with a question about MaxPreps, write to preps@startribune.com.
