LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT game recaps

OAKLAND 3, CHICAGO 2: Kurt Suzuki's two-run homer led the host A's past the White Sox. Joe Blanton allowed five hits in seven scoreless innings for his second victory in his past eight starts.

TEXAS 4, KANSAS CITY 3: Michael Young hit a two-run double and Ian Kinsler homered as the Rangers held on to beat the Royals in Arlington, Texas.

CINCINNATI 11, CHICAGO 9: Pinch hitter Josh Hamilton's two-run, tiebreaking homer in the eighth inning lifted the Reds over the Cubs in Chicago.

COLORADO 3, SAN DIEGO 0: Rookie Ubaldo Jimenez threw six shutout innings as the Rockies beat the host Padres.
