Minneapolis police are investigating an incident in which a teenage boy was shot in the head late Thursday night.

According to a police report, the 17-year-old was taken to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale after he was shot around 10:30 p.m. near the intersection of Lowry and Irving Avenues N.

His condition was not known Friday afternoon, but Sgt. Tammy Diedrich didn't believe it was life threatening.

Bullet holes riddled a SuperShuttle van that was in the area. One bullet lodged in the van's air-conditioning unit, the police report said.

The van was parked in front of the driver's house when it was hit. No passengers were aboard. SuperShuttle is a transportation company that takes passengers to local hotels and the airport.

No one has been arrested.
