NORTH BRANCH, Minn. — Police say an 11-year-old boy is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle while walking along a street with his father in North Branch.

Authorities say a 46-year-old female driver drifted across the road and hit the child about 8 p.m. Thursday on Fill Avenue near 375th St. When police arrived, they found the boy unresponsive. He was taken by air to Regions Hospital.

Police said Friday morning that the boy was listed in critical condition.

Police say the driver was taken to Fairview Lakes Wyoming Hospital for a blood draw.
