My comments a few weeks ago about the federal farm bill that had just been passed by Congress and signed by the president focused on hemp seed. Hemp is now a crop that can be legally grown, seeds of which are good for feeding birds. I did not mention the several other bill components also good for birds and the environment. Many concern habitat creation and preservation.Â
