ALBERTVILLE, Minn. - Students are mourning a popular teacher who was shot and killed in an apparent homicide in rural Paynesville.
WCCO-TV reports 43-year-old Timothy Larson was a special education teacher for three years at St. Michael-Albertville Middle School West.
Superintendent Jim Behle (BAY'-lee) calls Larson "a teacher that you would want your child to have."
The West Central Tribune reports an 81-year-old man and his 45-year-old son have been arrested in the death and are being held in the Kandiyohi County Jail.
The sheriff's office says deputies received a call Saturday from the older man, who said he had shot and killed someone after an argument.
When deputies arrived, they found the man and the body of the victim with an apparent gunshot wound. The suspects have not been formally charged.
