Today we are introducing a new look for the Star Tribune website, which millions of Minnesotans rely on for their daily breaking news.

StarTribune.com has been completely rebuilt and reorganized to allow you to find the news and information you want more easily, to improve our search functionality, and to better showcase the outstanding stories, photography and videography of our staff.

You’ll find, among other things, a more visible home for business, politics and opinion. You’ll find streamlined story pages, which provide a cleaner reading experience. The pages on the site also load significantly faster, so you can read more content in the limited time you have.

Since the Star Tribune website launched in 1995, readers have increasingly come to rely on it for their breaking news. In 2010, for example, traffic to the Star Tribune website grew by 15 percent as more of you turned to the web for news and information. Thanks to you, the Star Tribune’s website is the most visited news site in Minnesota.

We’re proud to be the source you turn to most often for the latest news, sports, lifestyle and entertainment coverage and analysis of issues that matter to Minnesotans.

The changes you see here are just part of the significant investment we are making all across our 1,100-person company to continuously improve the quality of our news for our readers, whether you want to read it in print, on a mobile device or from your laptop.
